My name is Morgan Butler, and I am an artist, designer, and rock climber. What started as freelance design work in 2020 slowly turned into Maximum Studios—an independent practice that grew out of making things for friends, small projects, and whatever ideas I couldn’t ignore.
Over time, that work has moved through branding, illustration, campaigns, products, websites, and a fair number of projects that don’t really have a clean category. I am drawn to visually assertive design, bold line work, piping hot black coffee and brainstorming with a pen.
Outside of design, I spend a lot of time climbing. It keeps things simple in a way the rest of life rarely does. It also has a way of filtering how I think about the work I take on—less about polish for its own sake, more about “why” something feels worth the effort it takes to exist.
Somewhere between curiosity and obsession, things tend to make sense.
